- Juried into 89+ exhibitions nationally and internationally
I have loved working in art my entire life, beginning as a child always loving to draw people. Encouraged by my parents and teachers, I entered the University of Colorado in Boulder in 1961 as an Art Major. Life's choices waylaid my studies and I finally completed my BA in Art in 1981 at Western State College in beautiful Gunnison, Colorado. Later, earning a Master's Degree in Counseling, I worked in education at both the high school and college levels — in art instruction, counseling, and administration — until my retirement in 2002.
Since then I have focused on creating art and exhibiting in juried regional, national, and international exhibitions. To my joy, my work has been juried into over 89 exhibitions across Arizona, New Mexico, Colorado, Wyoming, Montana, Texas, Florida, Kansas, and North Carolina, in online exhibitions, and in the Paint America Top 100 and Paint America Top Mini 50 — earning numerous awards.
Welcome to my website — I hope you enjoy viewing my paintings as much as I have enjoyed creating them.
